The Cape

A balanced introduction to the Cape — enough golf for the golfer, enough South Africa for everyone travelling.
This is how we would introduce someone to the Cape for the first time.
The itinerary has structure, but not every hour is filled. There is time for golf, wine, coastlines, long lunches, Cape Town and simply enjoying where you are.
Your first day in South Africa should feel easy. Arrive in Cape Town, settle into your accommodation and take some time to experience the city without rushing into a packed itinerary. A sunset drink and a good first dinner is enough.

Your first South African round in the Constantia Valley.
Start the golf among vineyards and mountains. Steenberg offers a beautiful introduction to Cape golf and fits naturally into a day in the Constantia Valley.

Why HF likes it“Beautiful setting. Easy Cape Town access. A first round that already feels distinctly South African.”

Sometimes the best day doesn’t need a tee time.
Spend the day following one of the Cape’s great coastal routes. Drive beneath dramatic cliffs, reach the southern Cape Peninsula and meet the African penguins at Boulders Beach before returning to Cape Town.

A slower day, on your terms.
Take the cableway up Table Mountain before the wind picks up. Walk through the colourful streets of Bo-Kaap. Stop for a long lunch, explore the Waterfront, visit a gallery or simply leave part of the afternoon open.

Leave Cape Town behind and watch the journey change. The mountains move closer. Vineyards replace city streets. The pace slows down.
Golf beneath the Stellenbosch Mountains.
De Zalze places you right in the heart of the Winelands — golf first, followed by one of the Cape’s great food-and-wine regions.

Big mountains. Big golf. A slower afternoon.
Play one of the Cape Winelands’ standout golf experiences before spending the afternoon around the Franschhoek Valley.

“The day doesn’t need five wine estates. One beautiful estate enjoyed properly is often better.”

Finish the golf beneath the Helderberg.
Your final round offers another distinctly Cape setting before the journey slows down for one last afternoon.
Erinvale
“The last night should feel like the end of a journey — not simply the end of an itinerary.”

Enjoy a final breakfast in the Winelands before your onward journey or transfer to Cape Town International Airport.

We don’t choose courses simply because they rank highly. They need to make sense within the journey too.

Vineyard golf and mountain views within easy reach of Cape Town.

A natural bridge from the city into the food, wine and landscapes of the Winelands.

Championship golf framed by the scale and beauty of the Franschhoek Valley.

A memorable final round beneath the Helderberg before the journey slows down.
Course selection can be adjusted around availability, playing preferences and the final route.

Travelling together doesn’t mean doing everything together. While one traveller plays, the day can be shaped around the other — before meeting again for lunch, wine or dinner.

City, coast, restaurants and easy access to the first half of the journey.

Vineyards, mountains, slower mornings and long evenings.
Accommodation is selected around your preferred travel style, room setup and budget.
Want another round? More wine? Less golf? A safari afterwards? An extra night in Cape Town? A slower pace?
We shape the final journey around the people travelling.
Great golf is only part of it. We consider the route, the pace, the restaurants, the days without golf, the local experiences and the small things that make the trip work.
Final pricing depends on travel dates, accommodation level, room configuration, golf availability and the experiences you choose.
Seven nights. Four rounds. And a first experience of the Cape that goes far beyond the golf.
