HF Destination · South Africa

South Africa

Golf is only the beginning.

Championship courses on cliffs and in vineyards, safari mornings, Cape wine, coastline and the kind of hospitality you talk about for years.

The country

A country made for unforgettable golf journeys.

Few places give you this much in one trip. Championship courses on ocean cliffs and between vineyard rows. Mornings tracking elephant, afternoons on the tee. Wine estates that rival anywhere in the world, food that surprises everyone, and a coastline you will not want to stop driving. South Africa is not a golf trip with sightseeing attached — it is a journey where golf sets the rhythm.

Why HF

South Africa, done properly.

We travel these routes, play these courses and know which combinations work. That is the whole difference.

  • Tee times secured properly

The courses worth travelling for are the hardest to book. We hold them before the itinerary is signed.

  • Distances that actually work

South Africa is vast. We build routes where the driving is part of the pleasure, not the cost.

  • Golf and non-golf in balance

Partners rarely both want 18 holes a day. Every journey is built for everyone travelling.

  • Stays we have slept in

Wine estates, lodges and coastal hotels chosen on merit, not on commission.

  • One contact, all trip

The same person plans your journey and answers the phone while you are away.

    The South Africa Grand Journey
Practical

Planning South Africa.

The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.

  • October to April suits the Cape and the Garden Route, with long warm days and reliable golf weather. May to September is the best game viewing in the Lowveld and stays comfortable in KwaZulu-Natal. Many journeys are built around the shoulder months of March, April and October.

  • Ten nights is a comfortable minimum for Cape Town and the Garden Route. Twelve to fourteen lets you add safari without rushing, and sixteen covers Cape to Kruger properly.

  • Self-drive is excellent on the Cape and Garden Route, and we can arrange private drivers and guides where it makes more sense. Domestic flights link the Cape, Durban, Johannesburg and the Lowveld.

  • We confirm tee times before deposits, arrange clubs, carts and caddies where available, and build rest days around the bigger rounds. Non-golf partners always have their own plan for the day.

  • HF does not normally arrange international flights, so you are free to use points or preferred carriers. We do arrange domestic flights, transfers and everything on the ground.

Real HF moments

More than the itinerary.

The golf matters. So do the stories, the people, the laughs and everything that happens in between. These are the moments that make a South Africa journey feel unforgettable.
